During the past 100 years, the majority of human diversity has been destroyed through the destruction of indigenous tribal groups, their culture, languages, knowledge, traditions and beliefs. This tragedy is on our watch. We have lived and worked with dozens of indigenous peoples around the world and will always be specifically committed to telling their stories.
From West Papua to the Sahara, from the D.R.C to Saudi’s Aseer, we’ve exposed major land rights violations against the Saami Reindeer herders in Sweden, the San Bushmen in Botswana, the Samburu in Kenya and the impact of the Australian Government’s controversial emergency legislation (aka ‘the Intervention’) on the lives of Aboriginal people. Oliver has also presented three eight-part series for the Travel Channel and Discovery Channel, living with indigenous tribal peoples.
